Peab has been commissioned to build 81 apartments and a connecting garage in Västerås. The customer is Tornet Bostadsproduktion AB and the contract is worth SEK 106 million.
Peab will build 81 apartments on Öster Mälarstrand in Västerås. The apartment building will be five to seven stories high with two staircases. There will also be a parking garage for 29 cars and a bicycle room in the basement. A complementary building in the yard will contain space for parking bicycles and recycling. The building will be constructed according to Miljöbyggnad Silver and furnished with a combination of geothermal and district heating to keep energy costs down.
The project is a turnkey contract. Construction will begin in December 2018 and occupation is planned for November 2020.
The project will be order registered in the fourth quarter of 2018.
