Peab will do ground laying and foundation work for new heating plant in Uppsala

Peab has been commissioned to do ground laying and foundation work for the new heating plant Carpe Futurum in Uppsala. The customer is Vattenfall AB and the contract is worth SEK 143 million.

The project also includes building a new approach road and connections to municipal streets.

“We are proud to be a part of this investment by Vattenfall. We will create the foundation for the new heating plant which, in the future, will make it possible for the inhabitants of Uppsala to enjoy fossil free heating,” says Carl Johan Söderberg, Region Manager Peab.

The project is a traditional contract and construction will begin in January 2019.

The project was order registered in the fourth quarter of 2018.
