Peab has been commissioned to take responsibility for operation and maintenance of public roads in Uppsala for four years. The customer is the Swedish Transport Administration and the cumulative worth of the contract is SEK 193 million.
The commission comprises winter road and bare ground road maintenance. The contract is spread over four years, starting 1 September 2019, with an option for an extension of one to two years.
“Winter and summer road maintenance is an important job that carries considerable responsibility. We are proud that we have been entrusted with the care of public roads in parts of Uppsala Municipality,” says Jörgen Eriksson, Region Manager at Peab.
The project was order registered in the first quarter of 2019.
