Peab acquires property in Borås

Peab has signed a contract with Corem for the acquisition of the mall Knallerian with four properties in the commercial area Knalleland in Borås for an underlying property value of SEK 110 million. There is a positive zoning plan decision concerning development of the area.

Peab has acquired the mall Knallerian with four properties and a total area of 15,165 m2 in the commercial area Knalleland. The leasable space is close to 23,000 m2 and currently has around 40 tenants.

There is a positive zoning plan decision concerning development of the area and Borås has marked it as a focus zone for housing development, in line with the city’s vision for the area. Peab will continue to run the mall parallel with developing the area.

“Peab has been engaged in Borås’ development a long time and we have worked well together with Borås in matters concerning city development. As local community builders this kind of development opportunity is right in line with our strategy. With our four business areas we can work comprehensively to develop this area in the best possible way,” says Göran Linder, BA Manager Project Development in Peab.

Takeover and payment is expected to take place on February 1, 2022.
