Peab has been commissioned to rebuild a wastewater treatment plant in Henriksdal, Stockholm. The customer is Stockholm Vatten och Avfall and the contract is worth SEK 254 million.
Stockholm Vatten och Avfall is running the project Stockholm’s future wastewater treatment. It comprises a new wastewater tunnel from Bromma to the Sickla plant in Hammarbybacken and a new plant in Sickla along with rebuilding existing basins in Henriksdal. Peab will be rebuilding in preparation for installation of the new and improved biological treatment process. The commission consists of four aeration basins and four post-sedimentation basins.
The work will be done in the underground plant in Henrikdalsberget while the plant is in operation.

The project will for the most part be carried out with locally produced material and local resources.
The project is a traditional contract in partnership. Construction will start in June 2021 and is expected to be complete in July 2023.
The project will be order registered in the first quarter 2021.
