Peab has been commissioned to build Haganäs School in Åstorp northeast of Helsingborg. The customer is Björnekulla Fastighets AB and the contract is worth SEK 251 million.
The property will be located in the center of Åstorp near Bjärshög sports area on Villagatan. The K-6 school will also contain an elementary special school, training school and pre-school. The total gross construction area will be around 9,500 m2.
“This project is an important investment in the future for the residents of Åstorp and we’re proud to contribute to it. The school will be a meeting place for both students and personnel as well as everyone in the community. In other words, it’s a great example of our locally produced community building,” says Olle Olsson, Region Manager Peab.
“Haganäs School will be the first in the renewal of our school buildings and a fantastic asset for the municipality as a whole. The project is a turnkey contract. Construction will start in December 2022 and is expected to be completed in the summer of 2025.
The project will be order registered in the third quarter 2022.
