Peab builds police station in the Gothenburg area

Peab has been commissioned to build a new police station in the Gothenburg area. The customer is Specialfastigheter and the contract is worth SEK 207 million.

The new police station will be built on a 20,000 m2 plot in the Gothenburg area. The 8,000 m2 station will include a garage, be two stories high and contain offices, conference rooms, training areas, an unloading area and a workshop. The building will be built according to Miljöbyggnad Gold.

“We’re proud to have been entrusted with building the new police station in the Gothenburg area and thereby contributing to an important community building. We have experience in security classified projects and the well-established collaboration we already have with Specialfastigheter is a good platform for successfully handling the challenges in this project,” says Stellan Haraldsson, Region Manager Peab.

“This project is done in collaboration between the Swedish Police Authority and Specialfastigheter. Specialfastigheter is really pleased to be able to start up the production phase now, together with the Swedish Police Authority and Peab,” says Mikael Lindberg, Project Manager at Specialfastigheter.

The project is a turnkey contract. Construction is planned to start in the autumn of 2023 and the project is expected to be completed by the autumn of 2025 when the Swedish Police Authority will move in.

The project was order registered in the second quarter 2023.
