Peab builds office building in Ålesund

Peab has been commissioned to build an office building in Nørvevika in Ålesund. The customer is the real estate company Kolvika Brygge AS and the contract is worth NOK 104 million, approximately SEK 102 million.

The office building will be approximately 4,100 m2 in gross area with three floors and a connected parking garage. Among other things, the building will have an energy-saving heating system.

The owners of Kolvika Brygge AS also have holdings in salmon exporter Ocean Supreme AS and whitefish exporter Norwegian Seafood Company AS, both of which will have offices in the building.

"This office building will be important for maintaining a strong seafood environment in Ålesund," says Botholf Stolt-Nielsen, Chairman of the Board of Kolvika Brygge AS.

"We've been developing the project together since the spring of 2024 and worked closely together to create a building that will contribute to strengthening local business in the region," says Geir Rødseth, District Manager Peab in Norway.

This construction contract was preceded by a so-called phase 1 contract where Peab was contracted to map out an optimized product with the right quality as well as handling risks and uncertainties together with the customer. The project is now entering phase 2 which means signing a construction contract.

The project is a turnkey contract. Construction is scheduled to start in early 2025 and is expected to be completed in the middle of 2026.

The project will be order registered in the fourth quarter 2024.
